We Have Baby Bald Eagles!

We have three baby Bald Eagles -- a real rarity.  They rarely lay more than two eggs, and typically only one chick survives.  All three of these chicks appear to be doing very well!

This Bald Eagle nest is just below my house, in a tree just back from the Potomac River. I am shooting these pictures with my Nikon P610 60x zoom camera from a small park that is on the edge of the palisade cliffs cut by the river.

The forked tail of a Shad is clearly visible.
