Gone, and Not Coming Back Soon


All that is good is built slowly, day by day, brick by brick, leaf by leaf.

All that is bad
happens in a rush of bone and life-shattering violence, crushing ball, and belching chainsaw.

Do not wonder at how fast a great things can be destroyed, put ponder how slow it was to become great and what little you did to defend it.

That looks like the area that was Lake Aldwell in Washington State. Once the dam was removed the lake went with it which revealed the stumps which were unrotted from a century of submersion.
