Biggest Guy in the Room Says Tighten Your Belt

The biggest guy in the room
says it's time to tighten our belts and cut Social Security while giving tax cuts to the rich.
Gov. Chris Christie called for reduced Social Security benefits for seniors earning over $80,000 and eliminating the benefit entirely for individuals making $200,000 and up, along with raising the retirement age to 69 from 67.
When Republicans talk about "means testing," ask them to name a means tested program they have not demonized as welfare.

And they want folks to work until age 69 or 70? Ask them how much hard physical labor they can do now, or have done in the last five years?

Rich entitled paper-pushers have no idea what it's like to be a short-order waitress, a toll booth operator, a mason, or even a school teacher. And now they're saying if you paid into and supported Social Security and Medicare your entire life, you're undeserving because you saved and negotiated a pension?  Good luck with that!

The good news is Chris Christie will never be President.

The bad news is that these ideas still get an airing in the brain dead part of the GOP.

The conservative GOP's ideals are been tested in Kansas. How fast is the state's deficit growing? How many more jobs have the rich created with their lower taxes (even compared to neighboring states)?

Their love of another country (Israel) more than America is also unsettling...
