Wok the Dog: The AKC Goes to China

Whoeeee.

"AKC is pleased to announce that it has begun working with the Noted General Kennel Club (NGKC) of China to provide these services, under the leadership of Mr.Shi Zhao Xin, NGKC President."

It seems cranking up the puppy mill industry in China is part of the AKC's new business plan.

And no wonder.

After all, AKC registrations have declined 70 percent and the organization is now dependent on American puppy mill registrations to subsidize dog shows.

Why not internationalize puppy mill misery?

Dead puppies crammed into cages in China will be even more out-of-sight and out-of-mind than the ones in Missouri.

Here's your winning AKC rosette.

It's always come with dead puppy mill dogs attached, but now it comes with Hoisen Sauce and chop sticks too!

Aren't you AKC folks PROUD?

What.

the.

F***.

Coming in solidly under the heading of "You can't make this up."

I guess if APHIS is going to make responsible dogbreeding more complicated in the good ol' US of A, AKC can now OUTSOURCE its' funding... and not worry about such petty annoyances at home.

I have considered ACK a disappointment for a very, very long time, since well before the Russell wars. I usta show dogs inna way far back. I gave it up when I became far more interested in what a dog could DO, rather than what a dog looked like with NO regard for what it could do. I am astounded to find they can disappoint even further, a thing I thought not possible.

ptuuui.
