CBO Says Senate Health-Care Bill Would Reduce Deficit
Health care legislation drafted by a key Senate committee would expand coverage to 94 percent of the eligible population at a 10-year cost of $829 billion, congressional budget experts said Wednesday in a preliminary estimate.
The Congressional Budget Office added that the measure would reduce federal deficits by $81 billion over a decade and probably lead to "continued reductions in federal budget deficits" in the years beyond.

This potential good news story had an extremely limited shelf-life. My theory? If it doesn't suit the haters, it evaporates pretty quickly. Kinda like the news President Obama will donate the Nobel Prize money, 1.4 million dollars he could rightfully keep as his own (since it's HIS!) to charity. That factoid has not been repeated often since it was announced. Maybe he should donate it all to ACORN. Bet THAT would keep it in sight!
