A Murphy Bed for Dogs

Someday, I am going to either totally rehab a house or design it from the ground up.

Think concrete floors with a drain, stone on the outside, metal roof, big porch, and a massive mudroom connected to the kennel.

And in the massive mudroom -- complete with television, leather chair, coffee maker, and decent light to read by -- will be this: murphy beds for the dogs.

But Patrick . . .
When you fold the bed back into the wall, the water dishes will spill and you'll get water all over your minimalist hardwood floor.

Yeah, those floors have never seen a dog. The dishes get lifted into the shelves though, so that works even if the floor does not. You could probably put dishes in a gimble, but that might be over-engineering. Cutting a hole or putting in a cleat so those dishes don't get knocked over and off is clearly needed.

But Patrick,
They ain't room on them shelves for them dishes. Ain't room on the top neither, less'n you want 'em hangin' over. They TOO HUGE.

I don't know 'bout your dogs but only time I catch two of mine on one pad is when they frisky. Two dogs: two murphy beds.
