The New Fireplace is Roaring Along

The 32-year old gas fireplace insert got replaced today. The new 30” burner produces a marvelous amount of heat, produces no smoke, puts no creosote in the chimney, and is controlled by an easy-to-use remote control.

I’ve had wood fireplaces in the past, but never used them as they are too much work, too dirty, and cannot be fired up or extinguished quickly.

Gas? Perfect, and since the house is heated with propane, and we moved into the house when it already had a propane fireplace insert, putting in new unit, when the old began to fail, was a no-brainer.
