Canned South Carolina Low Country
Boiled peanuts (always in the shell) are a staple roadside food in the low country of South Carolina, but I’ve never seen a canned variety before.
Yes, there are canned 'boile' peanuts. (No D in local pronunciation). That brand is the largest one in the area. Raw peanuts are sold in stores for those who want to boil and season peanuts to their own tastes. They are in harvest right now in North Florida and S. Georgia. Everywhere on roadsides and corners.

I have eaten these!! Camping in Alabama we bought these and made them. Very interesting, not awful.
