Hognose Snake

Up the watershed this morning for a group trash-picking walk.

I’m happy to report almost no trash collected by my group, other than some dumped construction debris we loaded into a truck — maybe 300 pounds.

It’s a very clean and verdant mountain with astounding numbers of ferns amidst some of the best (and toughest) mountain bike trails in the nation. Lots of great hikes here.

The highlight for me was this Hognosed snake spotted by one of the kids on my team. Very colorful. About 4 feet long and fat.
