I wish I knew someone who turned wood, as I know where some big burls are. This tree is dead and just waiting to fall over. An easy harvest near a road too.
Update: I went back to this bit of forest cut this tree down using a bow saw, and tool the burl to a local wood turner to turn into whatever he will. It turns out it's Box Elder.
