Information on working terriers, dogs, natural history, hunting, and the environment, with occasional political commentary as I see fit. This web log is associated with the Terrierman.com web site.
For the record, the folks at WildFilmsIndia who filmed this write: "The Snow Leopard ultimately wins and stays on to enjoy its quarry over the next few days."
My only guess that is that the leopard rode the sheep down and stayed on top, letting the sheep take a hardest impact. Still..... It would be important for the leopard not to have a canine in I think -- it would break off with impact movement. But yeah. The leopard may be have lived for a week or more feeding on the sheep, but there might be long term issues. Big cats DO die from falls.
