Death to Fascists

Your father and grandfather were anti-fascist.

This how the Italians took care of their fascist problem.

The fascist dictator Benito Mussolini abandoned his wife and children and tried to flee to Switzerland with his mistress and a small entourage of loyalists.

He was captured and shot by free Italians at Lake Como on April 28, 1945.

On April 29th, Mussolini's body, and that of his mistress and several of his key followers, were loaded into a van and moved south to Milan where the corpses were dumped on the ground in the Piazzale Loreto.

After being kicked and spat upon by the Italian people, the bodies were hung upside down by their ankles from the roof of a gutted Esso gas station, and then the bodies were stoned from below by a massive mob of anti-fascist civilians.

Mussolini and his followers were later buried in an unmarked grave, but a decade later his body was returned to his second wife, whom he had abandoned for his mistress.

Well-observed, and, well, quite grim. There are so many relevant comparisons to be made between Il Duce and Trump, it can cause one to consider the validity of reincarnation. But my favorite is the (typically prescient) Simpsons portrayal.
