Chesapeake Manatee Spotted

Chessie the Manatee from back in 2001
A Manatee has been spotted hanging out in St. George Creek, a tributary of the Potomac River near Solomon's, according to Baltimore's National Aquarium. Though it's rare for a Manatee to come so far north, in the summer manatees head up the East Coast from Florida, and the Chesapeake Bay has plenty of sea grasses for them to graze on.
