Information on working terriers, dogs, natural history, hunting, and the environment, with occasional political commentary as I see fit. This web log is associated with the Terrierman.com web site.
I'm so used to seeing the pushing little legs and the wagging little tails under trees, culverts and holes in general- my guys have self-taught and turned themselves into hole dogs. The little piebald dug himself into a 2 foot hole in our park and came out with a rat (I wrote a post and you said "the code exploded") and since then both dogs yearn to go underground. We just do fantasy hunting but it seems very satisfying to them- an occasional squirrel or rat keeps them going for months. The little piebald also loves to climb trees- anyway- I know I'm singing to the choir...
