These are old-school Bedlingtons, not the slight, roach-backed dogs with linty coats that we see in the show ring today.
The Bedlington never really found its place in the world of dogs, as the show dog is ugly and weird, while the working version is not as good at any job as its obvious competitors. Generally too big for earth and too slow to catch, it has always been a rare breed -- perhaps its only saving attraction. Make a dog rare and someone has to have it!
