I know nothing about sheep dogs, but I am always interested in seeing how other people do other things with other breeds.
This video of the late Ted Hope was filmed in 1996, and it is followed by this one, this one, and this one. As with the terriers and most dogs, a lot of the training seems to be about giving proper experience for age, going slow, and controlling things so the dog minimizes its chance for mistake and confusion, and maximizes its chance for success first time out. As much as possible, work with the grain of nature, rather than against it. Thanks to Nate T. for sending this!
