I am still laughing at the AKC show judge who claims expertise in judging 22 terrier breeds and who writes:
"..a dog bred to go-to-ground is fairly useless if its loin is too short or nonexistent"
Loins?
Loins!
That's going to be a joke that finds it way into the field.
"Well mate. She found stayed and bayed for three hours, and took a lot of stick, but she could really use more LOIN to do her job!"..

What are you thinking? You'll never know if your dog will work well without a proper bath, brush, pedicure, and primping followed by a prance around a ring.
OK, but what do you consider structurally when you are looking for a new dog? Presumably it's not all about pedigree (as it appears to be in Border Collies for USBCHA trials--I've been lurking on BC boards, and seen more than one person claim they can look at a pedigree and tell you if a dog can herd or not) and I would guess that you have more criteria than just a 14-inch chest.
