Second Best Headline This Week

From the Helena, Montana Independent Record.

Yes, we are going to have to shoot some problem wolves to keep things under control in some areas, but NO, we are not going back to wholesale extermination of the wolf, thank you very much.

The best headline of the week, of course, was this one (take your pick) First things first.

We have to find some way of balancing the needs of people and the needs of wolves. We can't let them live as they once were, because the chances for a conflict are too high.

But we can restore them to higher numbers.

I do feel sorry for people who lose stock to them.

I do know that wolves like to eat dogs, too, so that would be a concern. (Although most wolf-killed dogs are killed over territory.)

I'm opposed to what the governor of Alaska calls wolf management though. That's crazy talk. Reduce predators to such a low level so there can be more targets for sport hunters. And Native Alaskans can kill only one moose per year. I would've thought they would've been first on the list. I thought wolf killing was for them. I guess I was wrong.

Of course, in this case, we're talking of wolves that live in areas where there are ranchers but also lots of public land. That land is ours, and we say wolves belong there.

We are using dogs with special collars anti wolf!

Sometimes that can sucede a dog being killed by wolves and other wild or someone try to boigotare project to get more money from the state! but the project white weapon: "referring to the color of the dog's coat" has been a success worldwide:

The point is; If someone has economic and political interests that the wolf will be killed!

Mirko!
