“They’re All Gay or Married”

People who say they can't find a dog in rescue remind me of the women who say all the men “are gay or married”.

Really? You sure it's not YOU? 

Because I'm sensing a YOU problem.

I suspect you are not going very far, or trying very hard. 

I suspect you are not carefully looking on line, or joining groups where other active single people might be found.

I suspect you have stood up a lot of  criteria and exclusions that shut the door before you see who’s in the room.

Previously married?  Clearly that’s a damaged person. You’re fine though;,your first marriage fell apart solely because of the other person.  You’re single now only because everyone is either gay or married.

Too old? Too fat? Too bald?  Right. And what happens when you get old and lose your looks? Hadn’t thought about that?  That will never happen to you? Gotcha!

And the shelter dog is a little aloof or quiet?  Right. I’m sure you’re a bundle of laughs when thrown in a cage with screaming inmates all around you.  I mean, look at how well you’re doing in the dating game right now!
