Loading the Chipper This Morning

This is the last day of forest cleaning. The rest of the day is spreading 70 cubic yards of wood chips on the forest floor.

Bill Butler controls the chipper with the little remote control box in his hands. It’s amazing to see this TANK slowly move through gaps in the forest, knowing it’s remote controlled by the kind of rig you associate with model cars.

Bill says he has a *much* bigger chipper in his work yard — it never leaves and can grind up big stumps and huge logs. Amazing.

Bill has an amazing life story. I have *deep* respect for anyone who comes from very little, and starts and maintains a business that takes this much hard work, talent, tenacity, and capital formation. Human jewels are all around us.
