A Massive Dark Fishing Spider

I was about to clip a dog to a tie out in the yard, when I jumped back from the size of the spider camouflaged against the tree bark. It’s a Dark Fishing Spider, I think — the largest spider in the state. It’s size was increased by a large nest ball it was dragging with her. Freaked me out a bit — damn near lost a dog from a Black Widow Spider bite some years back.
