Snapping Turtle on a Log

These are top-end fresh-water predators, pulling down baby ducks and geese, as well as fish, carrion, tadpoles, frogs, crayfish, insects, and fish. 

Unlike other turtles, I don’t see snapping turtles out of the water and sunning themselves on logs or rocks too often.
