Elephants Remember
An Asian elephant killed a woman, returned hours later to trample her corpse, and then attacked and destroyed her house. A past grievance? Maybe.
My friends who have trained elephants tell us of the long and never forget memories they have. I don't doubt that the elephants were exacting vengeance against mistreatment.
