Coffee and Provocation

Iced Coffee Was Invented In Algeria
Mazagran was the first iced coffee, and was invented in Algeria. It was consumed by French troops during the 1840 siege of the Mazagran fortress, and was prepared with coffee syrup and cold water.

Another Trump Fraud

Legalization is Addictive
Rhode Island lawmakers have voted to legalize recreational marijuana; the bill now heads to the governor. I’m still waiting to pass by a "Weed and Feed" marijuana and snack store. You know it’s coming!

Crazy Talk
Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT): “Spare me the bullshit about mental illness. We don't have any more mental illness than any other country in the world. You cannot explain this (mass shootings) through a prism of mental illness because we don't – we're not an outlier on mental illness.”

Suicide by Sex
It appears that Monkey Pox traveled so many places so fast due to sex at two European raves.

A Cure For Baldness?
Concert Pharma has apparently developed a treatment for a type of severe hair loss called alopecia areata. Their drug can reportedly restore a nearly full head of hair in up to 40 percent of people. No word on price, side effects, etc.

Record Deficit Reduction

When the Weeds Hit the Road
Goodyear wants to make rubber tires from dandelions. The Taraxacum kok-saghyz species of dandelions can grow in temperate climates, and the roots contain natural rubber latex. Unlike the seven-year turnaround time a rubber tree requires to produce latex, dandelions can be harvested in six months.

Shooting the Kids
When teachers in Texas took a gun proficiency course specifically designed to counter school shooters, they ended up unintentionally shooting the cardboard cutout of a child 6 times in the head. The course still passed them.

The Bunny Battle Down Under
It is illegal to keep a rabbit as a pet in certain parts of Australia. Exceptions can be made for public exhibitions, such as magic acts.
