The Kyiv Independent reports that the Ukrainian Defense Ministry says that between February 24 and 26 (three days): Approximately 4,300 Russian troops were killed. and 706 Russian Armored Personnel Carriers, 146 tanks, 27 planes, and 26 helicopters were destroyed.
To put this into perspective, this is more dead Russians in three days than the US suffered in all the years of the war in Iraq and more than twice as many as were lost in all the years of the war in Afghanistan.
It is more than 28 times the number of Americans killed in the first Gulf War to reclaim Kuwait from Iraq.
Pictures on Twitter of captured troops, destroyed convoys, flaming helicopters, and abandoned Russian tanks that have broken down or run out of gas support these numbers.

I hope this is true but there's a very long history of exaggerated reporting of military success
