The Supreme Court case Roe v. Wade was decided on this day in 1973. But, "Roe,” aka Norma McCorvey, never actually had an abortion — ever. She had a baby. And Wade? Who was he?
Henry Wade was a Texas politician elected District Attorney in Dallas County. He was DA for 35 years & sent 29 people to death row. So... not exactly "pro-life."
In this, Wade parallels the newest Supreme Court justice — Amy Coney Barrett — who thinks every fetus is a miracle of life, but has no problem putting people to death.
Justice Barrett green-lighted the execution of Orlando Hall within her first month on the bench.
