Art With a Powerful Pro-Bird Message
Lucas M. sends me this, noting that it’s from Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada.
The crow sculpture, made of tires and shredded rope, is designed to illuminate the over a billion bird deaths a year from window impacts in the U. S. and Canada.
I've tried many, many anti-collision thingies and the only one that really works at my house is this one: https://www.songbirdgarden.com/store/scripts/prodview.asp?idProduct=3209 Putting these up stopped collisions entirely and immediately. Thank you for bringing up the death toll of birds hitting windows. There is not enough awareness. It's birds dying immediately from broken necks and certainly birds dying later from brain hemorrhage, and birds with concussions and terrible headaches.
