Trump’s Ignorant Christian Death Cult

Religion is a fraud, and Christianity and Judaism have always hovered on the edge of being violent death cults in which the true test of the faith is to kill or die as a proof of loyalty.

Christians tortured and killed millions of people, native and non-Christian, in order to force them to conversion.  Jesus is love?  When was that?

It’s not an accident that the KKK burned flaming crosses as part of their terror campaigns — they pointed to the Bible, which explicitly supports slavery, as well as murder and rape. In Exodus, 32:26-29, Moses stands in the gate of the camp, and says:

Who is on the Lord's side? let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him. 

 

And he said unto them, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour. 

And the children of Levi did according to the word of Moses: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men.

In Numbers 31 we read:

Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.

But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

Is it really so strange that Jim Jones was a minister and ordered his followers to kill themselves?  

How is that any different from evangelical lunatic followers of Donald Trump telling folks not to get vaccinated or wear a mask?

The loyalty test of a death cult is to kill or die in order to prove fealty.  When you understand that, the murderous bombers, vehicle homicides, assaults, and gun violence by Trump supporters clicks into place like a Lego block.

And anti-science grifting?  Religion has always been anti-science grifting.  “By faith alone” (i.e., in the absence of all evidence) please send 10 percent of your income. How is that different from a Trump direct mail letter which promises a health care plan (or his taxes, or an infrastructure plan) “in about two weeks”?

And so we get down to it:  Christianity has a long history as a violent, misogynistic, racist cult of grifters whose leadership demands obedience or else burn forever in the fiery pits of Hell.

Jesus is love?  When was that?

If you are looking to filter out the kind, the smart, the discerning, and the skeptical in order to find the violent, dumb, slow-witted, and obedient gullible, you could not find a better sieve than religion in general, and Christianity in particular.
