The virus has no opinion or philosophy, but I do, and I have always thought the U.S. needed to thin the herd and that the stupid, anti-science, grifting, religious nut jobs, right-wing racists, gun-toting fascists, and aromatherapy folks should all get pruned out. I wasn’t going to start my own death squad or anything, but I had impure thoughts (as I think we all do at times).
In the end, the combination of Covid-19 and Republican party politicians may kick forward what I could not imagine.
To be clear, I’m not cheering it on — just observing.
