I’ve been in Facebook Jail for the last 30 days. I’ve screen-captured, below, what got me in trouble this time. Apparently the blind and brain dead algorithms of Facebook decided I was selling cocaine.
In the past, I have been in Facebook Jail for a "do not run your loose dogs on sheep" post, and a post saying the best Heinrich Himmler was a d*ead Heinrich Himmler, and a post in support of refugee admissions. See >> https://terriermandotcom.blogspot.com/2021/03/in-facebook-jail.html and https://terriermandotcom.blogspot.com/2019/07/the-post-that-facebook-decided-was-out.html and the graphic below.
Facebook has a failed compliance program. If they can't get this right, imagine how incompetent they are at targeted advertising.
I’m not returning to Facebook. The Terrierman blog and Twitter are more than enough, and Facebook is everything wrong with the Internet — the monetization of other folks’ work, the fomenting of conflict to drive clicks, the intentional spread of disinformation and toxic information that leaves people dead in its wake.
Maybe it’s time we stop playing with the thing killing civilization?
I for one, am done.

I can remember when Fkbook started out on college campuses as a way to screen out ugly young women. I thought it was gross then. When it moved mainstream, it was clear early on how bad it would end up being for society in general for all the reasons you list here. I don't know anyone for whom it has been a net benefit. For every 'it brings people together' instance, I can demonstrate 50 where it's torn people apart or gotten them killed.
You're better off. We all would be if people just ignored it.
