Remembering an Old Friend
Highland County, Virginia was the great dog man Donald McCaig’s home. Not forgotten.
I never met him in person but have had conversations with him online back when the bordercollie.org forums still had a stockworking crowd (sadly no more). It used to be a great place for information on working bordercollies (the archives still are), not in the least because experienced old timers like him. Quite an original (dare I say, and I mean that as a compliment, slightly eccentric) character, and off course he was a writer, so the stories of his dogs were not only interesting but also very entertaining.
