The Rapid Spread of Armadillos

Armadillos have rapidly moved north from Texas and Louisiana, and have become common in Southern Illinois and are now in Kentucky.

The speed of range expansion is amazing, and Virginia and Maryland are within possible range expansion.

They are not terribly tough quarry for a terrier (about like a possum and they mostly eat insects and carrions), but they are great diggers and JUMP as high as four feet!
