First year eagles are the same sized as adults, only with slightly longer wing feathers to compensate for less body muscle as they learn to fly. Bald Eagles and Red-tail Hawks are around each other all the time, and rarely compete for food.

Do have a source for growth in weight/body mass/wing span for maturing eagles?
I have looked but have found only comparisons between females and males.
Also will an immature eagle (using your head drawings) 1 1/2 years share territory with a red-tailed hawk?
