"Keep Calm and Carry On" Was Never Released

The original "Keep Calm and Carry On" poster was never produced during World War II, as it was to only be released if the Germans actually invaded the U.K.

Since the Americans showed up with troops, tanks, guns, bombs, ships, and a nearly endless supply of airplanes, the German invasion of the U.K. never occurred.

Instead, the Americans and the Brits (with a little help from Canada, the free French, and the Australians), landed in Normandy and rewrote world history.
