The Nikon P610 is a 60X point and shoot, and is my “little” camera that I take biking. It costs about $325 new, and was a terrific purchase. All these pictures are hand-held from the same location. The camera has direct wifi to my cell phone, takes video, shoots in the near dark, and is a general marvel.
Great Falls of the Potomac River is a major set of rapids located about 15 miles upstream of Washington, DC. The main Falls lines drop fifty feet in one-tenth of a mile, creating a Class V+ set of waterfalls. I believe this is the only urban Class V in the world. This is low water. Come here early on a Fall morning, with the fog rolling in, and after it’s been raining in the mountains for 4-5 days, and you can feel and hear the pulse of God thrumming in the air.
