A Fox Terrier FAIL

The rapidly rising rates of inbreeding within Wire Fox Terriers.

The effective population size of Wire Fox Terriers is 42, less than half what it should be, and firmly within the “at risk” side of the line.

The Fox Terrier was once one of the most popular dogs in the world.

Exaggeration by show ring breeders, however, has soured the public on this now very unnatural-looking dog.

Meanwhile, the Jack Russell and the Border Terrier -- two dogs that do not look like Christmas tree ornaments with stilted legs and bizarre tails -- are among the most popular dogs in the UK.
