Maybe. It makes perfect sense. Now that the Navy has moved out, Crystal City has a huge amount of empty office space and land controlled by just two developers, the County has already green-lighted a major redevelopment, the location is on the Metro line (a big deal), it's a very short commute to Jeff Bezos' new house near Dupont Circle, and almost every member of Congress will slide by Amazon, twice a week, as they come and go to National Airport. Perfect! You can't buy that kind of economic or political branding anywhere else in the US.
