Predators are born with prey drive, and one way to "explode the code" within, whether it's a Jack Russell terrier or a Cheetah, is to give them something to chase. The Oregon Zoo in Portland, created a "Cheetahpult" to launch a large ball for their cheetahs to chase for exercise and enrichment. Once it is hurled across the enclosure, Cheetahs Darlene and Mary Jane pick it up and return it to a bucket for a food treat. Perfect!
