Today we celebrate a liberal, long-haired, brown-skinned, non-English speaking Jew who hated wealth, loved the poor, and promoted free health care for all. He opposed the death penalty, believed in taxation, and opposed bankers and the heavy hand of police authoritarianism. In short, he was, quite literally, the essence of the Resistance. Happy Easter!
