When I look at this map, I see room for more people. Virginia is not an urban hellscape, but it is more yellow than western Oregon, which has a pleasant climate and could benefit from more population density (transit etc.) What do you see?
The U.S. is dramatically overpopulated right now, as we are running out of water in massive parts of the American west, are importing huge amount of energy (oil and even natural gas).
