Numbing Numbers

I have no idea what's going on, but the blog had 40,858 visitors yesterday. That's crazy -- enough people to fill Nationals Park stadium in Washington, D.C. It's not hacking -- maybe something new with Google's search formula? Somewhere around 3,000 a day is normal. It's not yet 7:30 in the morning today, and we have already had 13,000 visitors.

Welcome Earthlings!

Something else has changed, too. For the last year or so, it was taking a long time to load your page, and a longer time closing it, sometimes a minute or two. I thought it was my old dinosaur of a computer running Linux. But last week something changed, and it loads and closes quickly, in just a few seconds. I don't know if you changed anything, or if the powers that be up in the ether did something, but this old boy has a few more minutes of free time every morning.

Mysterious things are happening at the multi-levels of the internet. I've just encountered "bots" which are sources programmed to repeatrepeatrepeat until your website is flooded. And I notice that anything Republican loads much faster than any critics of them.

I use the regular "stats" feature of blogspot for my blog, but also use another monitor, which never agrees with blogspot. I'm only using freebies. The "paid" investigators can tell you incredible detail. My social security # showed up online. All my published books have turned up as PDF's, free.

And Trump just made it all legal.

Maybe all the people I send to your site finally checked it out that day!!! You post interesting, thought provoking, sometimes heartbreaking, often times laugh-out-loud stuff. I always enjoy reading what you have to say, and even if I don't always agree 100%, you give food for thought, and a starting point for further research!

Bots might be possible, but not Russian bots.
