Misto Settles In

Misto peering out of the top of one of my brown boots.

At 8 weeks, Misto weighs 3.9 pounds, while Moxie weighs 3.6 pounds at 10 weeks.  I found an online weight and age calculator for Jack Russell terriers, which guesses that Misto will weigh in at 11.5 pounds as an adult, which might be right since his dad weighed 12 pounds and his dam 9 pounds. Moxie, on the other hand, is projected to tip in at 8 pounds 15 oz. as an adult which sounds a bit light to me, but could happen. More likely, I think she will be an 11 inch 10-pound bitch, same as Sailor was. One thing for sure, neither of these two dogs are going to be big!
