Colin Chisholm III, age 62, and Andrea Chisholm, age 54, called themselves Lord Colin A.J. and Lady Chisholm of Struy, and lived on a $1.2 million Florida yacht when they were not living in one of their expensive homes.
Strathglass Kennel has a long tradition going back to 1800 hundreds (sic) in Strathglass Scotland.
In 1912 in Westchester, New York Mr. Hugh J. Chisholm carried that traditions (sic) forward and today Colin A.J. and Lady Andrea Chisholm of Struy carry on a first rate Breeding and Show Kennel.
Strathglass Kennel’s Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are a fine example of European stock and temperance. A combination of the Champion Winning Colors Kennel of the United States and the renowned Angel Pride Kennel of Germany.
Of course, the whole thing was a fraud.
While the pedigree puppy peddling was real, the kennel paid no taxes and this made-in-American couple were in fact welfare fraudsters who law enforcement say collected over $160,000 in benefits from Florida and Wisconsin simultaneously. They now each face one count of welfare fraud.
To be clear, the homes and yacht did not come from welfare fraud, thought it's unclear where it did come from. Collin Chishom claimed to be Chairman of the board of the TCN Network where his bio crows:
Colin A. J. Chisholm III KM Chairman, President -Chief Executive Officer, is our founder and began his television career in 1979, when he joined United Artists Television as Director of Sales. He joined Turner Program Services, the syndication and distribution division of Turner Broadcasting System in 1980. In 1986, Mr. Chisholm founded CST Entertainment with Color System Technologies, Inc. and became its President and Chief Executive Officer and entered into an $85 million joint venture with Columbia Pictures that syndicated both companyâs feature films and television programming through Screen Gems, a Columbia Pictures unit.
Mr. Chisholm has served as a member or board member of numerous industry organizations. The United States of America-China Chamber of Commerce, International Trade Council, New York State Broadcasters Association, Radio and Television News Association, International Radio and Television Society, American Film Institute, National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the American Theatre Wing & The Tonyâs, The Overseas Press Club of America, and New York Rotary, where Mr. Chisholm is a representative to the United Nations.
This would all be so much more believable if the bio did not have typos and coding errors, the web site URL was paid up, and if the whole thing was not a cut-and-paste job complete with a "your text" button still on one of the folder tabs. Priceless!
TCN, Inc. says it "is building one of the Caribbean and Latin America's largest business houses" and that it is into everything from energy to finance, from TV shows to building construction. Under the section on "Teamwork" we are told (no, I am not making this up!):
The whole is greater than the sum of its parts; in our rapidly-changing world knowledge, economy of scale and organization can only prosper by constantly exercising diverse competencies, skills and expertise; Inetnational Ethics drive the spirit of âadvanced thinkingâ -- Service to the Region as well as exceptional returns for all stakeholders.
Yes, those spelling and coding errors are in the original.
Bunko? Yes, I think we can count on that! The couple are now on the lam according to The Daily Mail.
