Gareth Morgan has already campaigned to get rid of cats to save native birds in New Zealand, and now he's targeting rats. The Wellington, New Zealand philanthropist is offering university students a free drink to catch and kill rats.
The dead rats will got to Victoria University's Science Society which will pay the bounty from a fund put up by Morgan, and the the Society is even throwing in a humane rat trap for free. Win win!
Cats and rats have decimated New Zealand's native wildlife, and Gareth Morgan, like Charlie Munger, knows the value of incentive$! If you want to get rid of rats or cats, Step One is to put a bounty on them, and NO, the bounty does not have to be money. For some, a beer is a much stronger draw!
