Clothes make the man, but sometimes it's the grooming that saves the dog.
This poor wretched thing was found abandoned in Leeds, UK, and was freed from misery with sheers and a bath.
Decent grooming, good shelter photography, a softening bandanna used as a prop, and a little marketing are all that is needed to save countless canine lives.

I used to work as a groomer - doing baths and brushing mostly. We had a Puli come in for his annual clip - a dog with his owner. He had owned the dog for several years. The dog was crawling with thousands of fleas, had ulcerated sores around his mouth, ears and anal/genital area. We clipped him down to the skin. His coat came off in one piece, like a sheep's fleece. Why do people get these dogs?
