Most Awesome Primitive Weapon?

If this is not the most awesome
primitive weapon ever, it has to be among the top five: a marlin bill dagger with tiger shark teeth "brass" knuckles from the Pacific islands.

Remarkable ! Is this an historical object, or a modern rendering of a historical design ? Could you post a link to the source , please.

My guess is that this is modern rendering of a historical design. The historicals are found in museums, the modern version are actually available on ebay. My source for this and other cool animal-based weapons (they seem to only be using one from the Pacifi rim) is here >> http://gizmodo.com/5994118/15-human-weapons-made-from-animal-weapons?popular=true.

My personal favorite, which I hope to inherit some day from my folks, is a fossilized Oossik (penis bone of a walrus) used as a club to bash baby seals. I posted on that a few years back. Ray barbs and bone and antler points on arrows and speaks pre-date stone tools. Fossilized megalodon teeth in South Carolina were also used by native tribes there, while alligator teeth were embedded in clubs in Florida, etc.

Excellent, thanks for the link. A walrus baculum is indeed an awe-inspiring object ! I recall that in the pretend backwoods survival scanarios of my teens it was widely rumoured that if you were left knifeless in the wilderness you could skin a snared rabbit using the sharp edges of its teeth. It seemed that nobody knew how to get the rabbit's teeth out of its head though !

I wonder which island it's from. I know Fiji likes to sell replicas of cannibal clubs and eyeball forks. There's lots of tourist information about their history of torture and killing ceremoniously. This weapon is beautiful and so effective.
