The Sad Arc of Human Existence
Since man first crawled out of the caves at Olduvai, it seems the sum total of our race to conquer has been to deliver us three things: a bigger pile of cheese fries, more porn, and new ways to fight.
When I was growing up in the 50's, I was under the impression that we would all soon have personal jet packs to get around. The cell phone, and this smarter-than-I-phone, sure did sneal up on me!
