Information on working terriers, dogs, natural history, hunting, and the environment, with occasional political commentary as I see fit. This web log is associated with the Terrierman.com web site.
Say what you will about homeopathy, but I have at least a dozen clients who use Homeopet's Leaks No More (a homeopathic treatment for spay incontinence).
These clients have tried standard hormone replacement (effective levels have a pesky side effect of causing cancer) and soy isolates that provide phytoestrogens.
Nothing worked. One woman had an eight month old lab female who became totally incontinent following her spay surgery. A few days of taking Leaks No More and well... she leaks no more.
I realize that this is FAR from a scientific study, but so far we've had about 95% success rate with this product. And this is not a situation where personal opinion will cloud the outcome. Either the dog loses her bladder control when she sleeps, or she doesn't.
I can't explain it, but that doesn't stop me from recommending it.
