The Latest: The Coroner Does Not Have a Clue

The latest on the Ving Rhames case is that the Los Angeles Coroner's office does not have a clue as to what went on -- a recurring theme in the Los Angeles Coroner's office.

Apparently Jacob Adams, the fellow that was killed, was "running so hard that police found his shoes more than nine metres from where his body was discovered."

Mr. Adams was bitten on his arms, legs and chest, but accounts vary how significant these bites were. West Los Angeles Police Lieutenant Ray Lombardo says:

"He made it to the gate, he got the gate closed to keep the dogs inside that grassy area, and he collapsed on the other side of that gate, about three feet from it."

The corners office says it does not know exactly why Adams died, but the police say that when they arrived, the dogs had blood on them, and blood was all over Mr. Adams' body.

The coroners office says that while there were numerous bites on Mr. Adam's body, they do not seem severe enough to have caused his death in and of themselves. A heart attack following a dog attack is a possibility.
