Stop Breeding Pugs

This is a half page color ad in the Spring 2013 edition of Virginia Maryland Dog. Apparently someone bought a pug that ended up with a brain tumor. Massive medical bills followed.

But so what? Why should anyone care, much less donate, when there is absolutely no mention of the fact that pugs are intentionally selected for defect, and are famous for having massive health problems?

Where is the warning to not ever buy or breed a pug? Where is the education campaign?

Throw money into the air to pay the veterinary bills of fools and unfortunates?

You have to be kidding!

Tell that to the breeders that ask hundreds of dollars for their monstrosities. Bulldogs and Pekes too.
And, according to some, 'They're so cute.'
Arrgh!
